Mud-water balance shield machine is a device for mud-water separation in the shield. The mud is used to resist the water pressure, and earth pressure on the excavation face to keep the stability of the excavation face, and control the deformation of the excavation face and the foundation settlement. The mud film is formed on the excavation face to keep the water pressure effectively acting on the excavation face.

The management and separation process of KOSUN KD Series mud management system:

(1) Separation of most solid stones and clods by primary screening;

(2) After the first stage is separated, most of the large particles above 3mm are separated, the separated mud flows to the slurry tank, and then is pumped by the mud pump to the secondary cyclone for separation;

(3) The accuracy of secondary separation is in the range of 70-74μm. After the secondary separation, the slurry is again pumped to a three-stage flow separator for separation.

(4) Three-stage cyclone separation accuracy is in the range of 20 ~ 25μm, three separate mud flow back to the pulp pool;

(5) After the waste slurry is subjected to pressure-dependent separation by a filter press as required, the mud particles larger than 5 μm in the slurry are almost completely separated, and then the precipitate is discharged to meet the emission requirements. Prospects for Oil Sludge Management Equipment

With the promulgation of the new environmental law, the environmental requirements is getting higher and higher to the oil field, and free discharge of oil sludge will no longer be allowed.Oil Sludge Management is becoming a focal issue.

Oil sludge is oil mixed into the soil.It will be mixed together and become very difficult to deal with.Oil sludge mainly from two aspects: First, crude oil from the stratum to the ground and accumulated in all kinds of containers, large tanks and recycling pools and other ground facilities; Second, Oil sludge produced by oil wells operations.

Oily sludge is mainly derived from oil field mining and sewage treatment plant, in general, the sludge oil content is from 10% to 50%, moisture content is from 40% to 90%. The ultimate purpose of Oil Sludge Management is to reduce the harmful resources. The common oil sludge treatment methods are solvent extraction, incineration, biological, coking, oily sludge profile control, comprehensive utilization of oil sludge. The results show that the current methods for Oil Sludge Management have their own characteristics and scope of application. As the oil sludge composition is complex, there is no treatment that can treatment all types of oily sludge.

According to statistics, the size of the pollutant treatment market is between 100 to 150 billion yuan in each year,and according to roughly calculation,the investment of Oil Sludge Management equipment needs more than 150 billion.

Since 2007,Daqing Oilfield have built nine Oil Sludge Management station, the annual treatment capacity can reach 3.2 million tons,all the oil sludge had been treatment harmless. Hazardous Wastes Management Technologies

Hazardous Wastes Management:Hazardous wastes that need management or disposal may be freshly generated from an industrial operation, they may be old stored chemicals, or they may have been sitting in a dumpsite for many years. At a dumpsite, component chemicals difficult to identify, they are likely to have reacted with one another, and they may have already affected the surrounding soil and water. Land disposal and incineration are two main dumpsite remediation methods. Types of waste treatment include physical, biological, and chemical neutralization or stabilization.

Industries in the United States dispose of about 60% of their hazardous waste using a land disposal method called deep well injection. Liquid wastes are injected into wells located in impervious rock formations that supposedly keep the waste isolated from groundwater and surface water. Unfortunately, hydrogeologists now predict that groundwater flow actually does occur in most previously-designated impervious rock formations, and injected waste often migrates into groundwater reservoirs called aquifers. Other underground burial locations for hazardous wastes include deep mines, natural caverns, and man-made deep pits.

Landfilling is the other primary land disposal method for Hazardous Wastes Management in the United States. Hazardous waste landfills are similar to regular solid waste landfills, but they must meet much higher standards for safety and environmental protection. The EPA requires that most hazardous wastes be treated before being discarded in properly-designed, approved landfills and burial sites.

Incineration, or burning, is a controversial, but still common, method of Hazardous Wastes Management. The EPA estimates that five million tons of hazardous wastes are burned each year in the United States. Various incineration technologies exist for a variety of types of waste. For example, volatile chemicals like paint thinners, oils, and solvents are destroyed by combustion at cement plants whose furnaces, called kilns, reach temperatures of 2,700°F (1,500°C). Needless to say, residents living near cement plants and other hazardous waste incinerators often have concerns about air pollution. In 1993, the EPA tightened its regulations on emissions from most hazardous waste incinerators, including cement kilns, after discovering that the emissions contained like dioxins, furans and other substances that cause cancer and other health problems in humans. Another recent EPA study noted that medical waste incinerators that many hospitals use to burn hazardous wastes also emit dioxins.
